Every year around Christmas, the internet asks the same question... When is the NBA bringing back Jingle Hoops? The original spot ran 12 years ago and people never let it die. We decided to answer that question ourselves with our own version, featuring our partner roster: Druski, Sketch, Joe Budden, BigXthaPlug, Cream Biggums, and Funny Marco.
What we didn't know was that the NBA was planning to run theirs back too. Theirs dropped a week after ours. The internal reaction when we found out was pretty much "holy shit, glad we released it last week."
Over 3 million organic views on Instagram alone. Comments from LethalShooter and Terance Mann of the LA Clippers. The highest performing piece of content PrizePicks put out all year. Not a single mention of the product anywhere in it.
That last part matters. It opened a conversation about what brand creative can do that promo creative can't, even if the company is still performance driven at its core.
