This year FanDuel is running a fantasy baseball championship weekend. The idea here was to create a 70s baseball theme that would bleed into all three contests over the weekend.

At FanDuel we love sports. That’s the long and short of it. We started as a small company of sports fans. We grew into a larger company of sports fans. And we added a couple million FanDuel players — a community of sports fans — in the process. We’ve also learned a whole lot about how we can make your gameday better. The entire experience, for us, has been a fantasy, literally. Now we’re passing all that fantasy along to you. All the hope and the celebration, even the oh-so-close and the agony.
Add it up and we call it SPORTSRICH — the belief that you deserve to experience everything sports has to offer.
I had to create a device similar to the way Beats does there “B-Ready” campaign. Using this idea of the box, I created a way to rotate any word we needed to explain the content around it. Whether it’s football, basketball, baseball, or hockey season. The box is universal in explaining “SPORTSRICH”.
I had the privilege to help work on the rebranding project at FanDuel. We had initially worked with creative agency who helped us design and focus group various solutions. We presented a number of ideas to existing users and non-users of FanDuel, including simple word marks, ambigrams, familiar icons within the product and various other monograms and designs. It was quickly apparent that a shield symbol was resonating the most with people – as they associated it with things like sport and trust.
Branding work done for a sports blog called "The G.O.A.T." While this never came to light, the idea was to create a buzz feed sort of block with sports.
Being from Wichita, I'm a big Shockers fan. They've refreshed their logo in recent years but the Baseball logo never got the modern touch. As a side project I refreshed it and brought it up to speed with their current logo.
